This report recommends numerous ways that the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (AAHSA) can improve the quality of nursing homes located in medically underserved areas. For example, the report suggests that the AAHSA provide those homes with the resources necessary to initiate more comprehensive workforce training programs. The report also discusses the unique challenges faced by nursing homes in medically underserved areas, and devotes a section to telling their ''heroic'' stories. |
