Abstract

This report documents key 2007 trends in the field of workforce policy development for direct-care workers in eldercare and disabilities services throughout the 50 states. It finds that, although the direct-care workforce is experiencing a serious shortage, states are showing greater interest in improving training, wages, and benefits for workers. States are also beginning to show signs that they are interested in collecting workforce-related data.
