Talking to other people who do the same kind of work is often
the best way to get new ideas about how to solve a problem on
the job, get the support and encouragement we all need, and share
thoughts and information about direct-care work. But finding colleagues
you can talk to isn't always easy, especially for people who work
in their clients' homes. Fortunately, a growing number of online
communities and worker associations are being created to help
you connect with your peers.

Did
You Know?: The average age of workers is 37 in nursing homes
and 41 in home care.
